National Day

Yesterday was Singapore's 41st National Day.

Being the (*ahem*) patriotic Singaporeans we were, we gathered at a friend's place and attempted to watch the National Day Parade webcast, which was terribly laggy, so we ended up watching dvd recordings of Singapore Idol.

We also had some red and white food (watermelon sago, strawberry cheesecake, strawberry ripple ice cream, and the above brownie), and we sang along to some songs in tamil and malay (we sang them every single year in school), nevermind that we didn't really know what we're singing.
