I read something interesting about this particular day:
This Friday 29 February is Leap Day, where we are given an extra calendar day, occurring only once every leap year. Traditionally, Leap Day gave women the power to propose marriage to men under the law that any man who declined a proposal in a Leap Year must pay a fine.
Too bad there is no such law here...
